Role Overview:
As a Game Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing game features to take Entropia Universe to the next level. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing game systems. A key aspect of this role is working extensively with new AI technologies inside our dedicated AI Team. This includes Transformer tech, large language models, and agentic frameworks, as well as current gamesystems. Your interest and expertise in these cutting-edge AI technologies and games will be crucial as you collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, to deliver high-quality features and advancements.
Responsibilities:
Work extensively with advanced AI technologies, such as Transformers and agentic frameworks, to innovate and improve current and new AI features in the game.
Develop and integrate current and new game systems to support and enhance gameplay features and functionalities.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new game mechanics and features.
Implement security protocols and measures to safeguard game-related data.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to game systems.
Be flexible and open to work with all parts of the technical ecosystem.
What we value:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
A few years of experience within the field.
Creative thinker with a passion for games and a drive to innovate within the gaming space.
Proficiency in C++.
Proficiency in Python is a strong plus.
Strong interest or knowledge in Transformer tech, large language models, and agentic frameworks.
Knowledge of game development principles and methodologies.
Problem-solving and communication skills.
Being flexible and able to work with a larger technical ecosystem.

Location: We would like you to be able to come into the office two days a week to Mindark Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
